We couldn’t believe how popular our jersey cotton cover was for the ‘Limited Edition’ Widgey® Nursing Pillow. Of course the design was perfectly suited to unisex and newborn but by far the most requested feature for our 2008 Widgey® Nursing Pillow was for a jersey cover.
The cotton covers are robust and durable and are heaven when freshly laundered but mothers have asked for the soft cotton t-shirt fabrics for the newborn babies. It is the softness which has the appeal. We work very closely with out testers and once we had chosen the correct weight and strength of the jersey cotton fabric we set about a new fresh animal print. Our mums said they like bright colours but small prints.
Everyone joined in and even the warehouse chaps were drawing lions and tigers for our artwork. It’s a great company to work for and everyone gets very involved when it comes to baby products. Given the chance that we could have a new design we won had over 70 animal characters to choose from. We narrowed it done to about a dozen characters and then had great fun with the colours.
Result – everyone happy – and a great new fabric design. The Animal Print is also available on the waterproof playmat if you want a matching set. Both items are available from April 2008.
